The Village exists to connect you to the resources that you need on the journey of parenthood.  Our focus is on removing treatment barriers for those suffering from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. These include postpartum depression and anxiety, and mental health complications related to infertility, pregnancy loss, and/or infant loss.

Teen Group: Mondays at 4pm

Loss Group: Tuesdays at 1pm

Fertility Group: Tuesdays at 4pm 

Postpartum Group: Wednesdays at 5:30pm

Pregnancy Group: Thursdays at 10am

All support groups are in-person. Should you not have access to transportation or cannot come in person, accommodations can be made.

Text4baby is a free text messaging program for pregnant women and new moms. Moms can get FREE messages each week on your cell phone to help you through your pregnancy and your baby’s first year.

Three times a week, text4baby delivers vital information, in English or Spanish, direct to the cell phones of new and expectant moms. Text4baby messages are timely and practical, because they’re customized for each woman’s stage of pregnancy or her baby’s age. They include:

  • Health advice for pregnant women and new moms

  • Nutrition tips for moms and their babies

  • Access to free and low-cost programs that provide medical care, food, and other services

  • Tips and support for coping with the stress of pregnancy and new motherhood

  • Fun facts about baby development and milestones

Medications can be a very effective treatment option for women suffering from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The use of medications can be very safe when working with a medical provider who is knowledgeable about perinatal mental health. Taking medications while pregnant or breastfeeding can be scary. We recommend working with a knowledgeable medical provider who can help you determine if medications are right for you, and which ones are the safest to use. Please use the following resources to help you as you explore medication as part of your treatment plan.

We are dedicated to providing current and accurate information to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and healthcare professionals. We are a training center for medical and pharmacy students and medical residents in the use of drugs in pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

PSI’s expert perinatal psychiatrists are available to share their skills and expertise with fellow medical professionals, providing necessary guidance and reassurance on any matter, but particularly those that may be more challenging.
