I started seeing clients in 2019, but have been a dietitian since 2001. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois and my Master's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Illinois State University. I moved around the Midwest with my husband and worked in hospitals doing clinical dietetics and food service management. I became a stay at home mom for my boys when my youngest was born. I knew I wanted to get back into the nutrition field when my boys were school age. Although as a dietitian, even I struggled with diets and healthy habits and doubted my ability to help others. As I researched new ways to improve upon my own well-being, I came to the understanding that diets are meant to fail. I became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. We were not made to have the same shape and all be in smaller bodies. We were made to enjoy food and feel healthy. I am confident that I can help you and your family on your journey, regardless of where you are at in the process.
